When Brother Peetree prayed, the air Was filled with solemn awe; The words he spoke were strong and fair, And no one found a flaw. He bowed his head, he closed his eyes, He raised his voice so clear; The saints all gathered round in sighs, For they knew the Lord was near. He prayed for peace, he prayed for love, He prayed for strength and grace; And as he prayed, the heavens above Seemed to smile upon his face. When Brother Peetree prayed, the night Was lit with holy fire; And all who heard felt pure delight, As their souls were lifted higher.
