The song of the campfire is ringing, Through the night so calm and still. It speaks of the day's hard riding, And the tasks we've yet to fulfill. The flames are dancing brightly, As the wood crackles and roars, And the stars are shining lightly, Through the night's open doors. We sit around the glowing fire, With our faces warm and bright, And the song of the campfire's desire, Is a tune that fills the night. The song of the campfire is calling, As we listen to its refrain, And the night, with its shadows falling, Whispers of freedom again.
