The Light of Faith

By George MacDonald

The light of faith is burning, Bright in the darkest night. It shines with hope and courage, And leads the soul to light. The light of faith is glowing, With a warmth that never dies. It speaks of trust and comfort, And dries the weeping eyes. The light of faith is guiding, Through the shadows of the day. It leads the heart to heaven, And shows the narrow way. The light of faith is shining, For all the world to see. It brings the soul to glory, And the peace that is to be.
